Regarding the "Rewound" thing: How could he allow his on-air talent to appear on "Rewound"? It was not his job to drive people away from 'CBS-FM. It's true, the listeners temporarily reverting to WABC would return to 'CBS-FM the next day, and, emotionally, it would've been great to hear Harry, Ron, Dan & Bruce on "Rewound". But business-wise, it doesn't make sense. The same holds true when, back in the old days, 'NEW-FM would have the "Beatles A-Z" weekends. Or when the station would replicate the set list of a Springsteen or 'Stones concert on the radio, so you can listen to it on your way home from the arena. The station knew it would be a tune-out for people that are not fans of that artist, but they knew those listeners would return later. The radio landscape today is too competitive to allow it.
