Of course not. But my point is that anyone in his position would have done so. Vince states that "surely he’ll take his place amongst such legends as Rick Sklar, Ruth Meyer, Scott Muni and Sebastian Stone". Making obvious moves such as hiring legendary personalities doesn't make you a legend.

Yes and no. Yes in that the core audience is aging. No in that McCoy made no attempt to adjust the sound of the station when the handwriting was on the wall. For example, the station should have stopped playing fifties music fifteen years ago like most every other oldies station did.
