You made your points... you acknowledge in another post that if so many people say you are wrong, then perhaps you are. Leave it alone, let it go.

You acknowledge that an oldies format when unchallenged is like being on auto pilot. My analogy is not so far fetched. We all know airline pilots make their bucks when things go wrong, not when they go right. And for Joe they went right for a lot of years.

It is up for debate as to when they went wrong, IF they went wrong and who was really flying the plane by the time there was turbulence. If Joe was pilot in name only and only the voice on the PA while someone else upstairs flew the plane, then Joe is not to blame.

In any event, he was at the helm for an awful lot of successful years and while the issues you raise are surely up for discussion, they have been discussed ad nauseum... and in the end you want to do nothing but damn him him with faint praise.

Time to let it alone or some of us might wonder if there is a hidden agenda.
