This happened at the same time on several Infinity stations that had 50's based shows making me feel it was a corporate mandate not a McCoy decision.
I think you sometimes "overblame" Joe. In reality, I'd bet big money that not all of the calls were his. PD's don't have that much power these days in big corporate radio stations where the stakes are hight and various VP's and format brand managers want to say "look how I turned that station around". It's driving station-level PD's nuts from what I've heard on the rumour mill.
