It's amazing how shocked and hurt we feel when someone like Chuck Leonard passes away. And that's because DJs like Chuck communicated on such a high level, we felt like he was our friend or a member of our family.
I felt very much the same way when I heard about the deaths of Alan Freed, Murray the K, Alison Steele and Rosko.
They were all incredible communicators and very different than what passes for professionalism on much radio today.
Chuck will definitely be missed, but also remembered.
