What can one say that hasn't been said in this thread? Chuck was an important part of my growing up. To echo Allan's comments, you could just SEE the smile on his face when the mike was on. I didn't know the extent of his illness, but I'm sure he's in a much better place right now.
My deepest regrets to his family and to his closest friends. Chuck was a friend to all of us. Although we did e-mail each other a few times a few years ago, I regret not having the chance to meet the man.
On the last CBS-FM Rock & Roll Greats Reunion, I don't think that anyone would disagree with me that Chuck, doing part of Bruce's Saturday shift, gave the best performance of the weekend.
