Chuck was the epitome of COOL and HIP. I recall that, at least in my circle of teenage friends, that even when it became sort of uncool to listen to Musicradio WABC in the later part of the 70's as WPLJ, WBLS and then WKTU became the cool stations for teens, everybody still tuned in to listen to Chuck on WABC faithfully, cause he was "the man". Later on, he sounded perfect on KISS-FM and then in his limited shifts on WBLS. He was just a really cool, smooth, and happenin' guy on the radio. May he Rest In Peace.
