I'm just wondering realistically what "radio" can do? As long as the industry chooses to allow sponsors to subsidize the cost to consumers, there isn't much that mainstream radio can do. It's easy to be on the "cutting edge" when you are dealing with a less entrenched medium. Internet, Satellite, Ipod among others, are developing media or delivery systems that don't yet have the same demands that terestrial radio has. I wouldn't be surprised if Satellite and internet radio are forced to deal with the same issues FM currently deals with. It's always been about the bottom line.
