I am surprised no one has mentioned this; the fact that a new format was introduced on an otherwise "overloaded" news day. The New York primary in addition to about twenty other states holding presidential primaries on Super Tuesday was certainly the overwhelming news story. The NY Giants winning the Super Bowl on Sunday and then holding a parade yesterday was big news but got diminished local coverage and no national coverage yesterday because of the primaries.
So why would a station do such a launch on day with so many other diversions?
