If you think strategically, radio has to stop the loss of listeners to not only Sirius and XM, but IPODs, other portable media, internet etc. Sirius was my situation, there are many others. If marketed effectivly, that MUCH larger base can be reached. If it can't, radio is doomed to be a three format medium. To me, the question is, how much better in the ratings and in revenues can this format do over the smooth jazz format, for which essentially this same argument could have been made.
