I was wondering the same thing.
Perhaps it was intentional so it would in fact go under the radar that WQCD dumped its fomrat and DJs (not that it would have gartnerd as much attention as CBS-FM's flip to Jack)
Or maybe it was just bad planning.
It is also possible another station was about to do a flip (not to the same fomrat but perhaps something else) and htey wanted to move fast
Or finally maybe word was about to get out, and they accelerated their plans...
