WCAA must be a big disappointment to Univision. Its billings dropped 25% within the year, and are way behind the other major Hispanic stations.
Evidently the reggaeton music format was a flop, and their new one sounds very similar to that of Mega. Even WADO, their AM station in the upper end of the dial, did better. WCAA has a lot riding on morning personality Luis Jimenez, who began his show in January.
Sister station WQBU 92.7 FM, with its Regional Mexican format, is not listed. I wonder if their earnings were reasonable, given the fact that they have respectable ratings in the younger demos.
