Allan,

If my memory serves me correct, I don't think there was a time over the past 25 years when we had three successful Rock stations.And there was a reason WPLJ abandoned the AOR format around time in 1983, even with their decnt numbers.

This left New York with WNEW-FM and WAPP. A year later, the APPLE became Top 40.

When the PPM goes into effect in the fall, we really need to see where WXRK-Rock, WQCD-101.9 and WRXP will stand in the ratings.
