What a wonderful and pleasant surprise to read your post on the NYRMB. You are sorely missed. Mornings are just not the same without the 'Morning Mayor' Harry Harrison waking us up.
You spoke those immortal words 'every band new day should be unwrapped like a precious gift' every day, and they struck a chord with me. In fact, after 9/11 I started to reflect even more closely on that statement, as I'm sure many others did. You always were a people person and you made all of us feel like everything is gonna be allright when we heard you each morning as we started our day.
It just hasn't been the same since you left the airwaves. You are one of New York's all time great radio personalities.
