Nah, it's just a station that did not quite get it right. Was there a hole? Is the music right? Are the rotations right?
Every question raises several more.
Yet on the Left Coast, the same company, under a different and obviously better PD, Kevin Weatherly, has taken the same concept and brought it well into the top 5 stations in about the same amount of time.
The teens are listening. The 18-24 women are listening. The people who supposedly don't care about radio any more are listening... nearly 3 million of them in a market with a third less population than New York.
Radio is not in trouble... New is in trouble.
