>>> a few questions.
The monitor to the right of the board : Is that the touch-screen machine to fire up a sounder or a spot?
That is Audio Vault and it fires both spots and sounders. The spots can be fired from the board with a single button below the fader. The sounders are fired by touching the appropriate square on the right.... ie top of the hour, :20, :40 Traffic, Breaking News etc.
>>Where are the VU meters? Or does processing take care of all that nowadays as long as the anchor's pot is hottest?
Look at the top of the board you will see a low profile horizontal housing. In that are the digital VUs and a clock.
>>Is copypaper used at all anymore? I don't see any wastebaskets .....
Plenty of paper for weather, lottery numbers, program logs etc.
>>>And where *is* everbody, hi?
This was taken last Tuesday when I was in for training. Since then more people have shown up! :-)
By the way, this board is nearly identical to the one at CBS-FM, Fresh102.7, 92.3 etc.
