Today my wife and I drove to the south shore of Suffolk County. Our base model Toyota Solara SE is standard equipped with an excellent stereo made by JBL. We received WCAA quite clearly, and with minimal bleeding from WBLI up until the Sagtikos Parkway connection of the Southern Parkway as we headed eastbound.
For avid WQXR listeners in the Nassau and Suffolk regions it would be a good idea to purchase strong FM receivers and tuners, and to invest in a quality directional FM antenna. I feel that the selectivity of the receiver is paramount to "capture" 105.9 at that radius point.
