If anything, I would argue that doing this reduces interference, as the areas where the translator's signal is strongest are also the areas where the Class B's signal is strongest as well.

In many European countries, stations broadcast from the same transmitter site, often at fairly high powers, 0.3-0.4 MHz apart...in some countries, even 0.2 MHz apart, and they manage to be heard.
