Not so sure it is hyperbole, Allan. There is currently a palpable undercurrent to conservative talk-radio which goes far beyond any form of engaging discourse or entertainment.
And it is taken very, very seriously by its listeners. I would liken news-talk today to nothing less (and nothing more) than a mob mentality screaming for its pound of flesh.
