The music does matter - big time.
Two things have contributed to Lite-FM's continual success over the years and it can be simplified to this.
1. It has always super-served its targeted female audience.
2. As that female audience has evolved, Lite-FM has changed with it.
This is a vastly different station then when I arrived here 13 years ago in one respect, yet its focus has remained constant. Not an easy thing to do, but the two PD's that I've worked under have expertly moved this station along that timeline in exact relation to the audience it serves.
