I'd like to add an amen to his closing comments in this season's posting about the monotony of contemporary commercial talk radio. The first programmer who brings back the combination of localism, personality and variety that made WABC successful under John Mainelli, will have a real winner. (Come to think of it--why doesn't someone HIRE John and give him a free hand to build a station in a way that really connects with the market and the prime 25-54 listening public?)
