Digital media is, by its nature, multimedia. With barriers to entry eliminated, it is indeed next-to-impossible to earn a living on pure audio podcasting skills. But millions earn it on the web in one way or another; and the tastes and interests of every segment of the population are fully served, irrespective of geography. As a web producer, you go as far as your talent and energy take you; no incumbent or corporate gatekeeper stands in your way.
