The only thing the Astoria facility has is that it is convenient to those who drive there from (and that's limited to those who drive from the Island and CT).
From the shots you see on YES, the studio and bullpen doesn't look much all that much different than it looked 20 years ago.
Working at the station was a great experience. The actual physical offices - not so much.
