The move also consolidates overhead costs into one bundle of what us accountants call "Shared Service Costs" (e.g. one set of admin, IT, office service personnel, utilities, etc. vs 5 sets).
So besides lower rent, it reduces overhead as well. And in this market EVERY company is doing this, so this shouldn't be a slam against CBS
Does anyone know if any layoffs have occurred in the back office ops at CBS?
