I have to add, because I've just noticed this on the National Radio Hall Of Fame website, that he had not been inducted into the RHOF.

While this should have happened while he was alive, if there is ANYONE who should be in consideration for being inducted into the RHOF for being a groundbreaking pioneer in his/her genre of music, which in his case was rap/hip-hop, Mr. Magic (aka John Rivas) should have received a "nod" years ago.

To that, I'm going to heavily PUSH for his nomination as well as induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame for 2010. For the hip-hop community, he was the "Alan Freed". When no one wanted to touch rap figuring it was just a musical version of "graffiti", he pushed it forward and strong! For me, he was my influence when I was seeking radio as a career, and what better way to honor him than to see him next to fellow radio pioneers such as Dan Ingram, Cousin Brucie, Don Imus, and fellow 'BLS personality Hal Jackson...just to name a few, in the RHOF.

I'm going to push for this and want others to join me in that regards. He certainly has met all of the qualifications required. All it takes are the votes.

Thank you,
TONY SANTIAGO
