I have my issues with Sterling. He can be annoying, confusing, cringe worthy, among other things. He is also among the best in playoff situations when the Yankess are behind in the late innings. What his detractors fail to do (in my oppinion) is show objectivity in their analysis of him. Listen to playbyplay sports from around the country, then analyze Sterling.. Also keep in mind that playbyplay sports is not journalism. It is entertainment. Obviously there has to be a level of accuracy, but accuracy is only one element of the broadcast.
