This is one problem with any teams that make post season play. The people who called the games on TV all year rarely get the pleasure of calling them in the post season.

McCarthy had no business sitting in the booth and chair that was once occupied by the late, great Bob Murphy. He has always hated the Mets and loved the Phillies even when he collected a paycheck from the Mets. I live in the Comcast / Phillies area and am forced to watch the Phillies Broadcasts when they play against the Mets. Believe me, this guy pokes fun at Mets fans and when the Mets are losing to the Phillies he has the cameras pan the stands for dejected looking Mets fans.

I will say though, other than that he is a top-notch announcer and I think he sounds a lot like Gary Cohen.
