Smooth jazz reappeared a few months ago on 87.75 mc (TV channel 6 audio frequency) -- a virtual clear channel -- following the demise of WNUA/95.5. With a couple of kilowatts on 87.75, this SJ station carries further than any other FM station in the market -- often 100 miles or more -- because there's nothing to interfere with it.
