Unless you are one of the full, Class B signals on top of the Empire, there will be issues in many locations, even Manhattan. On less than stellar receivers, you have 6000 watt stations overloading the dial more or less on an equal playing field. The 610 watts of 105.9 will suffer in the less than ideal locations. Inside the studios at 34 Sixth Ave., 105.9 and 91.5 are very spotty. 94.7, 90.7 and 89.1 (just a few blocks away) don't come in at all. With 37,200 watts just over the river in Newark, WFME can be wiped out inside the steel buildings of Manhattan.

Whether it be power, height or location - if you have less than the other signals around you, your coverage will suffer somewhere.
