I absolutely agree. Barring some breaking news or other emergency, the Yankees games should stay on WCBS. WCBS is the Yankees flagship. I realize that WFAN doesn't have alot of live programming other than Sundays right now, but it makes no sense to make a change.

Now if some Mayoral Debate or Presidential Press Conference was being held opposite the baseball game, then by all means, the baseball should shift to WFAN so WCBS can focus on their primary format; but that's really about it.

In 2001, the last year the Yankees were on WABC, 1050 aired one game, because WABC wanted to stick with the President's press conference. As it turned out WABC missed the entire pregame and only the first inning. The press conference took place during the pregame and they did a wrap up during the first inning. Meanwhile 1050 was allowed to air the whole game, so that particular game was heard on all 3 of 66, 77, and 1050 - a little extreme.

Remember that this year, MLB has already granted 1050 permission to air every Yankees game - something they are committed to doing. 1050/MSG Network has already made time-buy arrangments with both AM970 and AM1130 to pick up Rangers games.

Tonight is a busy night:
Devils on 66
Rangers on 1130 (time buy from MSG Network)
Baseball at 6PM on 970
Jets coverage starting at 6PM on 1050

the Jets simulcast of 77/1050 no longer exists.

1050 will give first priority to Jets, second priority to baseball, and third priority to MSG teams.
