"THE CBS FEED IS only NEWSRADIO NOT THE GAME"

That's not going to change no matter which station airs the local feed. WFAN couldn't stream the game any more than WCBS can. Major League Baseball's own website gets exclusive rights to carry the audio feed of any team's games online, and it makes you pay a fee to access it. Lousy for fans, to be sure, but Major League Baseball controls the ultimate rights to any game and this is how they choose to squeeze maximum $$$ from fans who don't listen through regular radio.

Bottom line; if you want to hear the game for free, you have to use regular radio. For that, the CBS radio division may as well continue airing it on 880 since that's where people have come to expect it and will be most likely to look for it first. If the Mets make it back to the post-season next year (yeah, I know, doesn't seem likely right now, but you never know, everyone could stay healthy all next season) you'll never find the broadcasts anywhere but 660.
