I'm not really sure where the WWES CP stands. It's been on the books for a while and I believe remains unbuilt.
There is still a translator (W205BM) running WMNR programming on it. Considering it only puts out 38 watts, it gets out pretty good to my home about 5 miles away. It probably won't do too well to the south given the local topography.
Radio-Info says WMNR has a CP to move W205BM to 89.5 with 10 watts off the same antenna.
Maybe WAMC does not have the funds to construct the station, or perhaps it's being shopped around??
There's also Foothills Public Radio. They have an unbuilt station (WJZZ 90.1 in North Salem).
Regardless...I don't think WNYC will be rushing to gobble up all these little translators and stations. That requires money, which I am sure is not plentiful right now.
