Aside from being on 1700 when a lot of radio “dials” still around don’t go up that high, to be putting an AM station on the air this day in age seems like a losing proposition to me.

The article is interesting.

Referring to Upstate New York as being 40 miles from ESB is funny to me. But then again, I lived in Glens Falls and Watertown in my youth so I have a different perspective.

Very interesting that in an article about Indian Point, the photo shows 3 all-imposing hyperbolic cooling towers, when Indian Point has mechanical induced cooling which is hardly as imposing. I am challenged to recall 3 hyperbolic tower set-ups anywhere in the United States.

What would you call this new station? I suppose “Energy 1700” would work, but I think there is an “Energy 103” in Newburgh. Maybe “Power 1700”?
