Wow, from my hearing (and full disclaimer - I lost a pretty good chunk of hearing while over there, so my ear is not always be as good as it used to be) it sounded just like the Hall & Oates version. Thanks for letting me know that.

I know Kid Rock has charted a few times on country charts, my question about that is, and maybe this is a simple question but I honestly don't know...how is that determination made? If I think Kid Rock I don't think country, I think rock/rap hybrid.
(I know that Kid Rock is not easily pegged into a hole, and I do think he is a pretty talented guy who has shown amazing range in what he can do musically.) But when he puts out a song how is the determination about what chart it falls under made?

Also, in the thread the comment was made about pop stations giving country more crossover, I think a good example of a song that fits that description was a few years ago when a KISS tribute album came out and Garth Brooks did a really amazing cover of "Hard Luck Woman."

Anyway, interesting responses, thanks all!

Nick
