I was a fan of Soupy and I remember as a kid going to Roosevelt Field where Soupy was appearing ( I believe at Herman's Sporting Goods Store ) and the Nassau County Police had to form a human chain to protect Soupy from all his fans. The cops stood together holding hands to protect him. Another good one bites the dust.
