I think people have to be realistic. WQXR is not going to have the signal on 105.9 that it had on 96.3. The further from NYC, the worse it's going to be... especially going north and east as you get overlapping coverage from WHCN/Hartford. From what I've seen, WQXR has said little about the co-channel problem. Instead, they've focused on the overall coverage as if there was not a co-channel problem.
It's also true that a classical radio station with its minimal processing is going to have signal to noise ratio problems. It's harder to coverup a weaker signal by increasing the processing.
The bottom line is that WQXR's coverage at 105.9 is going to be worse. No matter what.
