Scott Shannon may be friendly with Sean Hannity, but he is getting paid to be the VO guy for Sean's radio show. He is paid to read the script that the show's producers put in front of him-plain and simple. If he objects to the copy he could simply resign the account.
I agree that Shannon has an easily identified voice-especially to us radio people/radio fans. However, I would suggest that there are many listeners who wouldn't make the connection even though Sean often mentions Shannon on the air.
