Dale, You were placed in many difficult situations at 66 WNBC-AM Radio. Most of them left you looking like the bad guy. Although I never worked in radio, I was an avid listener for many years. I listened to your station for 12 to 14 hours, each Monday thru Friday. My comments were not mean't to sound condescending. However, logic dictates that if a show was making money in relation to the company's investment in the show, most normal companies would continue investing in the show. I would speculate that GE management was NOT pleased with its return on the Sales and Reynolds shows. I would further speculate that revenues at 66 WNBC-AM Radio dropped to unacceptable levels after GE (Grant Tinker) decided to terminate Howard Stern, after the broadcast of the "Beastiality Dial-A-Date" segment. I and many, many others, tuned out your station after Howard left. Most of the officers I worked with, chipped in and purchased FM converters because of this poor business decision. As listeners were already tuning away from AM radio for music, you were in a no-win situation. Under very trying circumstances, you were able to keep the station going for three more years. I did enjoy the history of the station that you put together for the final day of 66 WNBC-AM Radio.
