And you know this how? I'm not a big sports fan, I'm 34 years old and I didn't know who Warner Wolf was until about 6 years ago. Whoopi Goldberg is a has been.

Chances are none of Hannity's syndicated listeners out in Oregon or Nebraska have ever heard of Scott Shannon, nor would they recognise his voice.

This whole thing has gone way to far. What had started out as an interesting query has now been blown way out of proportion. Scott Shannon is a man of many talents. One of those talents is voicing liners. As a voice talent myself, I personally have no problem with the liner in question, and I would unequivocally accept the gig if offered.

>>But no average person notices these things, nor cares.<<

Ok, so define 'the average person'. Even my wife who knows next to nothing about radio frequently asks me who voices are on documentary shows and commercials. "Hey, That sounds like George Flowers... is that George?"

In summary, even though I lost interest in Hannity after he went syndie, I have no problem with Scott Shannon reading the liners he reads, I'll go as far as to say I agree with them. The VO industry is a tough gig these days, and imo, more power to him.
