WXNY (the former WCAA that moved to 96.3 from 105.9) has the Luis Jimenez show on weekday mornings, as in the past. I believe the rest of the day they run jockless.
I could understand letting the former air personalities go if there was a major format change, or even a significant tweak in the music. But the music mix is about the same as it was on their former frequency.
Isn't X96.3 without jocks being put at an unnecessary disadvantage, now that they are on a level playing field in terms of signal with La Mega, on 97.9? As in the past year or two, there is little difference between the two Hispanic stations in terms of their music, and even the morning shows.
