Uh, I mention Randi Rhodes in the last paragraph of my initial post saying Scott Shannon shouldn't do "Stop Bush Express" intros for liberal hosts either. Thanks for reading it before you respond.

Do people listening to NY radio know or care who Scott Shannon is? He's only the host of, as he likes to point out, New York's longest continuous morning radio show. And before that he was the host for about a decade at the Z Morning Zoo on NY's #1 radio station at the time. And one of the initial DJs at VH-1. And the star of numerous WPLJ TV commercials. Need I go on? If the average person in the NY area can't recognize Scott's very distinctive voice and style, they can't recognize anyone currently in radio.

And I'll say it again. Dan Ingram did TONS of voice over work but never of a political or controversial nature. Whether Dan did this on his own or it was part of his WABC contract, the results were the same.

I'm not sure Harry Harrison ever told us whether he liked the Mets or the Yankees better, let alone lend his voice to a "Stop LBJ Express." I don't know whether Ron Lundy or Chuck Leonard preferred vanilla or chocolate ice cream, let alone attach themselves to a movement to stop a president.

Scott Shannon is doing Hannity A FAVOR by being his announcer. I'm sure he's not getting a pile of cash for the gig. But even if he were, can't he utter the simple words, "I'll introduce Sean. But I won't lend my recognizable voice to an effort to stop the President."
