Yes...there were Drake formatics at WOR-FM while Rosko and Muni were still there -- like the acapella jingles, etc. But Rosko and Muni continued to do their thing, but when Jim O'Brian took over the Murray the K spot, it was full Drake radio (which originally was an oldies format on WOR-FM), but with the same sound as Boss Radio. So it sounded kind of silly -- like you were listening to two different radio stations.

After Rosko resigned WOR-FM, he appeared on Pete Fornatale's Saturday morning show on WFUV. I posted an aircheck of that on reelradio.com. Execs at WNEW-FM apparently decided to hire him after hearing that show.

Before he was hired by WNEW-FM, Rosko hosted some shows at the Village Theatre, before it was renamed the Fillmore East. I happened to be there to see Cream and the Vanilla Fudge when they announced that Rosko would not be there that night because he was on the air at WNEW and the audience went wild because they were so happy he was back on the air.

I don't remember who did mornings the first two weeks, but it might have been Alison Steele. Jonathan Schwartz didn't start until November 16th. Once the format was fully in place, Jonathan Schwartz did 10-2, Scott Muni 2-7, Rosko 7-12m and Alison Steele from midnight to 6am. Zacherley was hired by January of '68 and did mornings at first, but eventually it was Johnny Michaels from 6-10, Schwartz 10-2, Muni 2-6, Rosko 6-10, Zach from 10pm-2am and Alison Steele from 2-6am.

When Zach went to WABC-FM/WPLJ, Steele moved back to 10pm.

Rosko left in 1971 and Schwartz got his shift. Fornatale did 10-2pm. Dave Herman came over from WPLJ starting May 22nd, 1972 to do the morning show.
