While I agree that there is some degree of homerism in most broadcasts and in almost all of the NYC teams TV and radio teams, Sterling and Waldman take it to a different level (e.g. the adulation of every man on the roster, the overexcitement over a moderately good play, the HR calls, etc).

I freely admit I'm a Met fan. I also know that you can tell that Howie Rose & Gary Cohen are life-long Met fans from their broadcast. But it is nowhere near the level of Sterling.

And I 100% agree with you that there's a high degree of homerism in football - I listen to Sirius' NFL coverage and I'd say a solid majority of the broadcast teams are on the Sterling/Waldman level (the Eagle, Redskin and Bear broadcast teams immediately jump to mind).

And college football tops them all.
