Let me at this time echo the other board posters who offered their condolences to Mr. Epperhart's survivors.
Also, I was reading about the time when Ed Baer retired from WHUD and the observations that when someone like Mr. Baer hangs up the microphone (even though he is still heard frequently on 'CBS-FM), it's a loss for radio in general. The same could be said of Mr. Epperhart: whenever someone who obviously loved his work and was passionate thereabout (as was Mr. Epperhart) passes on at so relatively young an age, it too is a loss not only for radio but for all media in general. His overall contributions not only to WABC but to the site devoted thereto (in terms of its history as a Top 40 station) will not soon be forgotten, that's for sure, but he will surely be missed.
