Although I never met the man, the name Bill Epperhart
is permanently etched in my memory. As a former WCWPer
the late '70s and early '80's, it seemed as though
I couldn't find many places at the station where
Bill hadn't left his mark.
As I scan the list of names of those who remember him,
I see many who doubtless will not remember me, but again,
the mere sight of the names in print awaken long-faded
memories.
I was even surprised to see the name Mitch Lebe, whose
work I remember from my short time at NBC Nets as an engineer.
To all of you who knew Bill, and to his family, my most
heartfelt condolences. I can honestly say that of
all my memories and travels within and without the
industry, none will ever compare to the wonderful times
I had at WCWP, where all things were possible, and for
that, I am certain, I owe a lasting debt to Bill Epperhart.
